Waterstones, Cambridge

Ok, I don't normally write about chains. But the Waterstones in Cambridge, one of my favorite places to begin with, has recently been refurbished and I am totally in love its so beautiful.

Emma and I went for a browse after an early morning work meeting the other day.

They also now have not 1 but 2 cafes on the ground and 2nd floor, and if there's anything I love more than a bookshop its a bookshop with a cafe in it.

What I love about Waterstones is that its so much more than just a book shop. They sell great little gifts as well as a wide variety of cards, many of which are hilarious.

We had a nosy around the downstairs cafe, which had some tasty looking cakes...

But we chose to head upstairs and have a bit more of an explore.  If you get lost don't worry, there's a pretty big map section!(despite doing geography A level the only part about this that interested me is the pretty colors of the spines)

And we discovered many other sections:staionary

And we found the second cafe, much bigger than the first.

We got a cup of tea each and shared a gluten free brownie which was really good.

I really embarrassed Emma by awkwardly hovering over the table to try and take this photo.

I always come here if I have a split shift for work, I can grab a book and have a cup of tea in a really nice setting.

Hope everyone's had a good week!
