Grantchester Walkies

It's weird working in the evenings and weekends. It means any weekly structure goes out the window. I can't remember the last time I had a day in which I ate 3 square meals at the the correct meal times.  Last Monday was the most Sunday-ish Monday ever. Alice suggested w went on a dog walk through Grantchester Meadows, and propelled by the idea of a pub lunch we set off.

Rollo, Eloise's dog and Noggin, Alice's dog.

Doggos showing me their best side.

Rollo and I becoming besties.

The dogs loved the meadows. Rollo kept jumping in the river to retrieve sticks, emerging every time looking more and more like Sirius Black in his Animagus form.

So good to see the girls and be outside on such a beautiful Sunday. Sorry I mean Monday.

^ Alice looking odd because she was trying to dab in the photo and I caught her on  the tail end of it!

Once we got to Grantchester Rollo (and Eloise) had to go so we headed to the pub. But not before Noggin decided to roll in a nice cow pat.

Looking very pleased with himself.

Grantchster is such a nice village, my grandpa lived there and my stepgrandma still does so its been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It has 4 pubs but we went to the Green Man, doing a spot of dream house hunting along the way.

Someone got a bit jealous when we started paying attention to the menus instead of him.

I think it's a uniquely British thing to walk into a pub after a walk in the cold wit the dog and muddy wellies and hunker down by the fire. It always reminds me of many a New Years Day family walk.

I'll be honest, our food wasn't amazing but the atmosphere more than made up for it.

Noggin giving his best puppy dog eyes a go...

After lunch we had a wonder back to Newnham.

Why are my friends so gorgeous, seriously!

I love Newnham, especially when we find houses to match our outfits!

We got back just in time to see the sun set.

Here's to more chilled out Mondays!
