Uni Tour Part 2, Edinburgh
So, after my hungover train experience, where I was sat next to 4 postmen getting pissed on their way to see Kasabien, I arrived in Edinburgh where Josh met me at the station. I have to say it was bizarre going from Nessa's 1st year halls to Josh's 4th year flat. Such a grown up! We met up with Josh's girlfriend Heather and imminently headed to the most important event in Edinburgh, THE CHRISTMAS MARKET! Also I'm not sure if this trip was really a uni tour or just a Christmas Market tour.
It was so cold up north though! That's why I'm wearing Josh's old hat so just excuse that.
After a wonder round we decided that the Raclette was a must have, partly because Heather had never had it before which was something which needed to be rectified immediately.
^The cheese was also served by literally the Scottish Ryan Gosling. He's not in focus in this picture but trust me, wow!
The nest day Josh and I headed down to the Modern Art Museum.
It was such a crisp and cold day, absolutely beautiful!
Neither of us had been to the museum before.

One of the exhibitions where the artist listed the names of every person he could ever remember meeting. Josh and I decided that this was crazy, I think I can only remember the names of about the last 100 people I met.
Very fitting.
These statues were so creepy, I thought they were real people until I started wondering why they were dressed like that in such cold weather! The models are cast from real people who are posed as a couple but in real life actually never met.
After that we headed down to Stockbridge Market which had loads of food stalls, and about a hundred dogs.
We got a Spanish lunch treat to share
We then headed down to Leith, another area of Edinburgh which I' never been to! We went to the Hideout Cafe, where Josh ate more cake!
Later that day we went to the Cinema and saw Battle of the Sexes, which was great by the way! Then we went to Heather's and Josh made lasagna and we had a really chilled night in.
The next day we had a productive morning in the library. Then Josh, Heather and I went to a restaurant called Checkpoint near the uni.
Heather had a mac and cheese toastie (!), and Josh had a cheese and tomato toastie, whilst I had a salad (and halloumi fries, couldn't be to healthy!)
That evening I saw my friend Darcy who started at Edinburgh in September. We almost won £250 in a pub quiz which was super exciting. We then went and had unlimited pizza with Josh and a bunch of his friends and flat mates. It was so nice to see Darcy, Edinburgh is too far way!
On Tuesday Josh and I went for a walk by the canal before my train.
It was so nice to see everyone up north, I can't wait until they're all around again at Christmas. Thanks for having me Josh! Can't wait until some of my favorite people live a bit closer again!
