Steak&Honour, Cambridge
I've got a great recommendation for you. If you're from Cambridge, you've probably heard of this, if not I suggest you get yourself over there immediately.
I first discovered Steak&Honour through their food trucks. They have 2 which travel around Cambridge and the surrounding areas serving up deliciousness. But this year they opened the restaurant, which brings all of the charm of the vans without the whole queuing in the cold thing.
It looks like a takeaway but don't be fooled, there is plenty of seating upstairs. The interior does give the feeling of being inside a giant lego brick, you'll know exactly what I mean when you walk up the stairs!
There's a standard menu but at the restaurant they are constantly adding and changing specials so keep an eye on their Instagram account.
As with all good, healthy meals we started with mac & cheese
Basically slices of mac & cheese re-grilled and drizzled with molten cheese and spicy sauce!
I went with Roxy who is a vegetarian
She had the Check the Pulse which I forgot to take a photo of (sorry, I'm still new to this!)
I had the cheeseburger. I know, not the most exciting choice but the combination of stuff that comes in the burger makes it unlike any other cheeseburger I've had.
It's so nice to be able to spend time with Rox. You know someone's a good friend when they wait to eat their food whilst you take a picture of it!
By the way, the minute you get a camera out in Cambridge people think you are a tourist, whilst trying to take this photo about 3 different people came up to us and asked if we wanted to go punting!
