Savino's, Cambridge

Ok, first is first, sorry for the big gap in blogging recently! I've been skiing this past week visiting Roxy which was so nice. This might be my last Cambridge post for a while because for the next few weeks I'll be spending a lot more time in London which is exciting.

Now, on to the nub of the gist of this post. If you live in Cambridge, boy do I have a gem of a recommendation for you. I've been going to Savino's since I was very young as I used to do ballet just around the corner. It's in such a central location but no-one ever seems to know about it! So last week Alice and I decided to take a trip down memory lane.

We each had a toasted panini, you can choose any ingredients from a selection on the wall. I choose my go-to of roasted veg and goats cheese which was very tasty.

Alice and I had good chats, it's funny being in the same place again having been living apart for 5 years.

After our paninis we had the highlight of all highlights, Italian desserts.

Alice had some sort of heavenly, sticky, nutty, chocolate cakey thing (I know I know, should have remembered the name!) and a coffee.

And I had the holey chocolate filled croissant.

They also do an AMAZING thick hot chocolate, but I didn't feel I could justify getting that as well! You'll just have to take my word for it.

It was all bellissimo.
